CONDITIONS OF ENTRY FOR SCOOTLE LEARNING PATHS COMPETITION

  1. Information on prizes and how to enter form part of these conditions of entry.
  2. The Promoter is Education Services Australia Limited (ABN 18 007 342 421 ) of Level 5, 440 Collins Street, Melbourne, Victoria, trading as “Education Services Australia”.
  3. The promotion commences at 9 a.m. (AEST) on 27 January 2016 and entries close at 5 p.m. on 24 March 2016 (AEDT).
  4. Entry is open to residents of Australia who fulfill the entry requirements. Entrants must be at least 18 years old and have a valid Scootle account.  Employees, directors, and management of the Promoter, agencies associated with the promotion, and the immediate families of the above-listed persons are ineligible to enter.
  5. To enter the promotion entrants must generate and ‘share’ a learning path publicly with all Scootle users. Entrants may submit multiple entries.
  6. The 1st prize winner will be the learning path with the highest ‘view count’ at 5 p.m. on 24 March 2016 (AEDT) shared between 27th of January to the 24th of March.  The winner will receive registration and accommodation to attend an Australian education conference of their choosing up to the value of $1000.
  7. The winner will be adjudicated at Education Services Australia, 440 Collins Street, Melbourne on 24 March 2016 (AEDT). The winners will be notified via email.
  8. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and are not redeemable for cash.
  9. The Promoter, its contractors, employees and agents, shall not be liable for any claims, losses, damages, injuries, costs and expenses suffered, sustained or incurred (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) as a result of, arising out of or in any way connected with the promotion and/or its prizes, except for liability that cannot be excluded by law. Tax implications may arise from the receipt or use of a prize.  Independent financial advice should be sought.
  10. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of, the promotion. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone, network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in this promotion.
  11. If there is an event beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control which prevents or hinders the conduct of the promotion or the Promoter’s ability to deliver the prize to the winner, then the Promoter may in its discretion cancel the promotion or change the prize to another prize of the same value. Further, the Promoter may at its sole discretion recommence the promotion under the same conditions.
  12. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook or Apple Inc. Any questions, comments or complaints about this promotion must be directed to the Promoter and not to Facebook.  Entrants release Facebook from any association with this promotion.
